SINNBILD49

The philosophy behind SINNBILD49

I personally believe in the one God and Creator who became human in Jesus Christ. This method, however, is not a sermon and requires no profession of faith from its users. Every person is invited to view the images within their own convictions—or not to use them if their faith or conscience advises against it.

What the cards are

SINNBILD49 leaves open the possibility that the visible and measurable world may not encompass all of reality. It does not claim to prove a spiritual world or to provide privileged access to one through cards.

The 49 Sinnbilds are not magical. They know neither the future nor another person's thoughts. They cannot give a divine answer or make a decision for anyone. Their images act as mirrors: feelings, fears, hopes, and inner conflicts are often abstract. An image can give them visible form, making them easier to name and consider from a new perspective.

How meaning arises

The meaning of a layout is not hidden in the cards as a secret message. It develops in the encounter between a question, randomly drawn images, and the thoughts of the person viewing them. Someone who understands that encounter spiritually may see it as meaningful coincidence. Someone who understands it psychologically may see free association and self-reflection.

C. G. Jung used the word synchronicity for meaningful coincidences. SINNBILD49 does not use the term as proof of a supernatural force, but as a description of a human experience: a random image may become personally meaningful at the very moment a particular question is being considered.

The cards are like a crutch or a handrail. They do not determine the path. They may offer temporary support while a person takes their own steps.

The standard for every interpretation

The images replace neither faith nor prayer, reason, human conversation, or professional help. Every interpretation should serve clarity, inner peace, and responsible action. It must not condemn anyone, create fear, or claim power over the future.

The standard remains love, truthfulness, and care for all creation—people, animals, and plants.

The random selection

When a reading begins, the complete deck is shuffled once in the browser. A fixed card then sits behind each of the 49 visible backs. The ten cards selected are assigned, in their exact selection order, to ten neutral positions. The question is not transmitted to a server during this process.

The ten positions

A card receives its specific task from the position where it appears in the layout.
